Over at my usual home, Lib Dem Voice, the posters have been reflecting on the Question Time debate… and it seems they liked Chris’s stuff. See a selection of their comments here, or picked out below.

Interesting, considering that Nick has based his campaign around being ‘the great communicator’. I went in thinking Nick would win in, but ended up thinking Chris just pipped it - seemed like a potential leader and able to face up to Brown.

Chris breaths confidence - the way he dominated Dimby by finishing his answers.Chris now - Nick in ten years is my conclusion.

Undecided hitherto, but Chris speaks with conviction and passion.

Chris is really pulling me back away from Nick… an excellent performance thus far.

Clear win for Chris on Trident thus far; not surprising considering that it’s ‘his’ topic.

Impartial Lib Dem Voice editor, Stephen Tall, said,

I’m just annoyed it clashes with the new series of Mighty Boosh

And on that note, good night.

Damn! I didn’t realise that the Boosh was on!

(Bloody Lib Dems!)

Chris came out as the best prepared candidate with convincing and direct answers to all questions thrown at him. Nick Clegg still has that politician’s evasiveness: where he knows his stuff he is passionate and credible, but if unprepared or unrehearsed on anything he tends to waffle. Both excellent candidates in my opinion, but Chris has the edge. I agree with an earlier posting that said Huhne now, Clegg in ten years. Good luck!

[...] I believe we need to be a radical alternative to the cosy consensus of Labour and Tories. I don’t want the same old same old. There is no point in that. And I think Chris can best deliver that! That’s why I went for him in the first place. Of course you might expect me to say that! - but pleased too to see that overall balance of comments on Liberal Democrat Voice was that Chris was the best. [...]
